Humans, by design, are meant to stand, walk, run, and throw. Our modern lifestyles have us sitting for most of our days and nights, barely moving. Traditional weightlifting can make matters worse if you don't address the major dysfunctions in the body. This is where Functional Patterns comes in.
A BIT ABOUT ME
I began my fitness journey in 2009 after recovering from a broken neck. Over the next several years, I got even more serious about building muscle and eating correctly. I got so involved in this philosophy that I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from SIUC in 2013. I continued my education further by adding nutrition in graduate school to complete a dual Master of Kinesiology & Food and Nutrition in 2016. My personal training journey started in 2013 and I have never looked back. To this day I continue to research and apply methods that help my clients feel better in their own bodies. I am a Certified Personal Trainer through American College of Sports Medicine, Certified Fitness and Nutrition Specialist, and Certified Online Trainer through the Online Trainer Academy. As of March 2022, I am now a Functional Patterns Human Biomechanics Specialist and employ their methods exclusively.
